Greiner aerospace acquires Cartrim Aircraft

The private company currently provides jobs to a total of 100 employees in two locations in Germany and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Cartrim aircraft has earned an excellent reputation in the sector as a high-grade manufacturer of materials such as textiles and leather goods with innovative trimming and cutter technologies. In its own development center in Plauen, all necessary production steps are carried out from project planning up to series-production maturity. In future, due to the highly specialized production in Brankovici (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Greiner aerospace will be able to implement even large-scale projects in the dress cover sector promptly.

The acquisition of Cartrim Aircraft will bring Greiner aerospace’s strategic goal of substantially expanding the business unit for seat covers for passenger aircraft within easier reach. Greiner aerospace can utilize the specialized expertise and will be in an even better position to meet customers’ requirements for high-quality dress covers and assemblies. The merger is also an important step to towards meeting current market requirements since airlines and seat manufacturers are increasingly pushing for a one-stop solution in order to reduce the number of suppliers.

With the factory in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greiner aerospace has acquired its sixth global production plant. With this purchase the Greiner Group is continuing its globalization strategy, also within the Greiner Foam International division.
